Who is REIDOS?

My name is Reid. I am based in South East Queensland, Australia, and REIDOS is the solo project I built out of a lifelong obsession with music, sound, symbolism and the deeper edges of human experience.

Before this became my full-time work, I was a mechanic. I have always loved working with my hands, solving problems and building things layer by layer until they actually function properly. Music was always there too. I grew up playing guitar, played in bands when I was younger and, like a lot of musicians, had that dream of doing something bigger with sound one day.

REIDOS became the place where all of those threads came together.

I am a bit of a hermit these days. A deep thinker. Someone who loves studying things for the sake of understanding them. Ancient Egypt, Hermeticism, symbolism, sacred sciences, Manly P. Hall, mystery schools, DMT research, the pineal gland, spirituality, the afterlife, the invisible worlds and the true nature of reality have all shaped the way I think about sound and consciousness.

That does not mean every REIDOS session is built on belief alone. The opposite, really. The spiritual and symbolic side gives the work its atmosphere, but the audio itself is built with precise frequency relationships, sine-wave architecture and deliberate psychoacoustic design.

After about six months of building REIDOS, I made the decision to leave my 9 to 5 job and take the risk properly. Life felt too short to keep waiting for the right time. I wanted to build something on my own terms, around something I genuinely cared about.

REIDOS is that new chapter.

Why REIDOS exists

I started REIDOS because I wanted to create the kind of frequency architecture I wished existed.

I have always been fascinated by binaural beats, cymatics, resonance, the effect of sound on matter and the idea that reality itself may be far stranger and more layered than we usually perceive. Frequency work has always reminded me of altered states in that sense. Almost like different bands of awareness are available, and sound gives us one way to explore the edges of that.

But when I looked around at a lot of binaural beat content, I kept finding the same thing: left tone, right tone, maybe some generic ambient pad, and that was it. Technically valid, but often sterile, monotonous or difficult to listen to for long periods.

On the other side, some frequency content felt buried under exaggerated claims, vague mystery or promises I would never want to make.

REIDOS was my answer to that gap: something deeper than plain left and right tones, but cleaner and more transparent than miracle-frequency content.

I wanted something clinical in its construction, but still immersive. Something precise enough for people who care about the actual frequency stack, but atmospheric enough to meditate to, sleep with, study with or simply disappear into for a while.

That is why I work so heavily with pure sine waves, harmonic relationships, binaural spacing, isochronic pulses, slow modulation, panning and layered psychoacoustic architecture. The goal is not to bury the entrainment under unrelated music. The goal is to make the frequency structure itself feel alive.

At its best, REIDOS is a bed of sound clouds. A place to rest, think, drift, meditate or escape the noise of the world for a while.

How REIDOS sessions are made

Every REIDOS session is built by hand in REAPER.

I design the frequency stack, build the layers, set the binaural relationships, shape the isochronic pulses, tune the harmonic overlays, automate the modulation, mix the session, check the feel and keep adjusting until the architecture makes sense.

The descriptions are transparent for a reason. I list the frequency stacks because I want people to know what they are actually listening to. I do not want REIDOS to feel like a black box.

Sound Source

Pure sine-wave architecture, harmonic relationships, binaural spacing, isochronic pulses and carefully designed modulation.

Production

Layered, mixed and checked manually in REAPER. Every layer has to serve the session rather than simply fill space.

Transparency

Frequency stacks are listed publicly so listeners can understand the structure behind each session.

Support Tools

AI tools may assist with title exploration, writing support, visual concepts and website development, but the audio architecture itself is designed by hand.

A typical session might include upper and lower binaural layers, bass anchors, isochronic pulses, Solfeggio or harmonic overlays, pink or brown noise fields and slow spatial movement. But nothing is added just for the sake of filling space. Every layer has to earn its place.

That is the foundation of the whole channel.

The listeners matter

One of the most unexpected parts of REIDOS has been the community.

I read the comments. I heart them. I reply to as many as I can. Sometimes that becomes thousands upon thousands of messages, but I still try because those comments matter to me.

When someone says a session helped them sleep, gave them a moment of peace, helped them meditate, or gave them something to hold onto during a difficult time, I do not take that lightly. When someone criticises something, I take that seriously too. If listeners ask for no-wind versions, black screen versions, longer versions or gentler versions, I genuinely try to listen.

I hate the idea of disappointed listeners. REIDOS has grown because people keep coming back, and I never want to treat that as automatic.

There are regulars I recognise by name now. That means more to me than any statistic.

Key milestones

March 2025

REIDOS Sonic Healing began properly. The YouTube account existed before this, but the focused REIDOS frequency project started here.

40 Days

The channel was monetised in around 40 days. What began as an experiment quickly became something much more serious.

6 Months

I made the decision to leave my 9 to 5 job. I chose to take the risk and give REIDOS the time and energy it needed.

Under 1 Year

REIDOS passed 100,000 subscribers before the project was even a year old. That milestone earned the YouTube Silver Creator Award and still feels unreal.

Now

REIDOS is my full-time work. I get to live and breathe this now, which means more energy, more care and more time spent building the sound world properly.

What REIDOS is trying to become

REIDOS is sound healing, psychoacoustic design, meditation support, sleep support, spiritual technology and experimental audio all at once.

But above all, it is an attempt to raise the standard.

I am not trying to make generic meditation music. I am trying to set a new benchmark for the binaural beats and frequency architecture niche.

More transparency. Better sound design. More intentional layering. Less fluff. Fewer outrageous claims. More honest work.

I want REIDOS to become the go-to name for complex entrainment architecture and frequency-based listening. Not because it is the loudest brand in the space, but because the work is consistent, detailed and genuinely cared for.

I am just one person building this from South East Queensland, but I take it seriously.

Every session is another attempt to make the kind of sound field I would want to listen to myself.
