Nervous System Regulation & Coherence
Healing isn't an event — it's a return to coherence. When the nervous system stops bracing, the body remembers how to repair itself. For anyone navigating stress, anxiety, trauma recovery, burnout, or the slow rebuilding of a regulated body-mind.
Three places to start, depending on what's happening
Skip the theory if your nervous system is already activated. These three sessions are the highest-value entry points by acute need.
At REIDOS, healing is approached through the autonomic nervous system — the part of you that doesn't ask permission to act. When the sympathetic branch ("fight or flight") dominates, the body cannot rest, digest, or repair. Frequency-based entrainment offers a doorway back into the parasympathetic state, where the vagus nerve calms, the heart slows, and the deeper restorative work can begin.
The most-watched healing protocol
The Vagus Nerve Reset has been the gateway track for hundreds of thousands of REIDOS listeners. Built around deep parasympathetic activation, it's the protocol most often returned to during periods of high stress or recovery.

The vagus nerve is the longest cranial nerve, threading from the brainstem down through the throat, heart, lungs, diaphragm, and gut. It carries information in both directions: brain to body and body to brain.
When vagal tone is high, heart rate variability is healthy, breathing is deep, digestion works, and emotional regulation is easier. When vagal tone is low — chronic stress, trauma, burnout — the body stays braced, even at rest.
Specific frequencies appear to support vagal activation: 0.1 Hz (the breath-resonance frequency), 1.2 Hz delta, and 8 Hz alpha. The 0.1 Hz rhythm matches the pace of natural respiratory sinus arrhythmia — the heart-rate oscillation that occurs during slow, paced breathing. This is the foundation of all heart-coherence training.
The 0.1 Hz field
When breath, heart rate, and brainwaves all align around the same rhythm — typically 0.1 Hz, or six breaths per minute — the body enters a state called cardiac coherence. Research from groups like HeartMath suggests this state corresponds with reduced cortisol, improved emotional regulation, and clearer cognition. The heart and brain stop sending each other contradictory signals.
REIDOS's Heart-Mind Coherence Grid is built around this exact 0.1 Hz architecture, layered with 8 Hz alpha for relaxed awareness.
Resetting the threat-response system
The amygdala is the brain's threat-detection center. In chronic stress and unresolved trauma, the amygdala can become hyperactive — firing on perceived threats long after the original event. The body keeps responding as if the danger is still present.
The 1.2 Hz delta frequency, paired with 8 Hz alpha grounding, is engineered to support stress-loop reset. The Amygdala Reset is one of REIDOS's most-watched therapeutic protocols and a cornerstone of trauma-informed frequency work.
The brain's overnight repair
The glymphatic system is the brain's recently-discovered cleansing network — a fluid system that flushes metabolic waste, including the proteins associated with neurodegenerative conditions, while you sleep. Glymphatic flow is most active during slow-wave (delta) sleep, particularly around 1.2 Hz. Anything that helps you reach and sustain this state supports the brain's nightly self-repair.
528 Hz, 174 Hz, and the body's resonant frequencies
Solfeggio frequencies have a deep cultural lineage in healing traditions, and modern audio engineers have found practical use for them as harmonic anchors. 528 Hz is the most-cited "healing" frequency, traditionally associated with cellular repair. 174 Hz sits at the lowest Solfeggio band and is often used for deep somatic settling. 432 Hz is the calm-tuning anchor used in many REIDOS architectures.
Inner ear, vestibular, and tinnitus support
The auditory system is one of the few places where frequency-based audio touches the same biological structure that's processing the audio itself. For listeners managing tinnitus, vestibular sensitivity, or auditory nerve recovery, REIDOS offers targeted protocols that approach inner-ear health through the auditory pathway directly.
Use at very low volume — these protocols work better quiet than loud. If anything aggravates symptoms, stop. Listen to your body.
When you need calm now
For acute moments — a panic spike, an anxiety wave, post-meeting overwhelm — short-form 20-minute resets give the nervous system a fast off-ramp. The 8 Hz alpha range is the easiest "safety signal" frequency for the body to lock into without demanding deep relaxation.
Whole-system architectures
For periods of sustained recovery — chronic illness, deep burnout, full-system depletion — broader-spectrum protocols offer a more comprehensive reset than any single frequency band can provide. These tracks layer multiple bands across longer durations to support full-body rebuilding.
Full-spectrum architectures designed for periods when one frequency isn't enough — when the whole nervous system needs to rebuild.
Building a healing practice
Frequency healing works best as consistency over intensity. A 20-minute Vagus or Heart-Mind reset every morning, paired with an overnight Amygdala Reset or Glymphatic Flush, accumulates over weeks.
Most listeners report meaningful nervous-system shifts after 2–6 weeks of regular practice. The body re-learns how to regulate slowly. Don't expect a single session to change months of dysregulation — but don't underestimate the compounding effect of small daily resets either.
For acute periods (high stress, recovery from a difficult event), increase to 1–2 active sessions during the day plus an overnight session. For maintenance, 3–4 sessions per week is plenty.
If you're managing trauma or a mental health condition, treat these sessions as a complement to clinical care, not a replacement. The most powerful results come when frequency work is layered with therapy, somatic practice, and nervous-system-informed care.
Choosing your healing session
REIDOS Sonic Healing is sound design and frequency-based audio for relaxation, meditation, and personal wellness support. It is not medical treatment and should not replace professional healthcare. If you're managing a health condition, mental health concern, or trauma, please work with a qualified professional and treat these sessions as a complement to that care.
